Outfit post - Boho chic

Ok, I'm officially admitting that the Winter, cold and snow 

are starting to get to me and I'm slowly getting annoyed 

with the whole shebang. Freezing one day and then fighting 

with the slush ( and ruining all of my boots ) the next day is 

not fun at all. Not to mention the lack of outdoor activities and 

long walks in parks and by the sea that I used to do all the time 

whole Summer and big part of Fall. 

I am taking off to Zagreb, Croatia soon and that will be nice, as 

I love travelling, but the temperatures are about the same as in Helsinki, 

so I won't get the much needed sun and all that, but it will be nice 

to have a little break from everyday (snowy/slushy) life in Helsinki. 

Then, in two months from now I'll be finally taking off to US to study 

photography on an intensive course at NYFA. 

If you've been reading my blog for some time, then you know that I was 

supposed to take this class at the end of last year, but due to some family 

sickness and problems, I had to postpone it to this year and now it's finally 

happening and I'm so happy! 

I've been craving to go to school for a long time now! I have the need to 

learn more from the real professionals, as I'm completely self thought photographer 

and I want to bring my photos to a whole new level and for that to happen, 

I need this school more than ever! :) 

Follow your dreams my dear readers... When you stay true to yourself, 

know your path and what you want to do, things will come to you, everything 

your heart desires will happen! Sometimes you need to wait a little bit, sometimes 

things don't go exactly as you've planned them, but just work and believe and 

dreams WILL come true! 

Let's do this together! I hope that you'll follow my journey and hopefully 

get inspired to find and follow your path too. :)

Golden Globes 2015

Good morning my dear readers!
How are you doing? Was your weekend good?
I had lovely weekend with family and friends, did
some successful shopping ( revamping my closet atm ),
we also went to the cinema and checked out Paddington Bear
movie. I can def. recommend it to anybody, as it was
heartwarming and fun to watch.

I have also watched Golden Globes awards and since
I've always been a sucker for Red Carpet looks/ moments,
I have decided to share my favourite looks from yesterday.
Some of these ladies looked astonishing and have inspired
me to try my best to look more put together and give a dose
of glamour to my day-to-day outfits.

Outfit post - What you gonna do?

Good Thursday morning everybody!!
How is this year going for you? I hope that the week
was an easy going one and going back to work/ school was
not a much of a hassle for you.
My brother and his girlfriend were visiting me for the past
week and half and they just left this morning so now I have
my hands full with having to take down all of the Christmas
ornaments and tree.
It's a little bit sad moment to be honest, but there're so many
exciting and happy things coming this month, so I'm not too
"upset" about having to say bye-bye to Christmas.

Last night it has snowed a lot again, so I woke up to an
all white view outside my window.
It's funny how snow makes everything look so peaceful
and magical... I love living in the Winter wonderland, but
only when I don't have to go out or spend long time outside
since I tend to freeze my ass in a second. :D

I almost froze while taking these outfit photos yesterday.
It was so cold outside and the strong wind was blowing, but
what you gonna do when you need new outfit photos?
You just have to take one for the team! :)

I'm off now to run some errands and later on I have a nice
pampering time at the hairdresser. I'm just going in to take
care of my split ends and do the blow dry.

Gourmet moment: Restaurant Peninsula 1899

Hello everybody!
Huh, I woke up feeling quite full from a big feast
that we had yesterday.
Me and my "worser" half have celebrated 7 years dating
anniversary and we've decided to try out new Chinese
restaurant in Helsinki.
Peninsula 1899 is so far the only authentic Chinese restaurant
that I've been to in Helsinki.
Every other place was ok or bad and they pretty much all served
the same tasting/ smelling food, some with more, some with less
fresh ingredients, but the differences were small.

Everything that we ate yesterday at Peninsula was absolutely delicious!
I can warmly recommend this restaurant to any foodie or just a local or
tourist who want to try great Chinese cuisine.

The menu is not "endless" as it's case in many Chinese restaurants, but
it does offer enough of different options for everybody, from vegans to
vegetarians to meat eaters.

Service was great, very polite, attentive and knew what to recommend us.
Restaurant is spacious and they also have 2 different cabinets for those
who wish for more privacy.

This all being said, let's go over to the food photos which I've snapped
before we've endeavoured all of these meals. :)

Outfit post - Two Songs

Good morning my dear readers!
Here we go, first Monday of 2015! How awesome does
that feel? To me, it feels invincible and I'm so energised
to make this day as productive as possible.
It is cold outside, like freezing cold, I do have an ongoing
flu and I haven't seen sun in longer than I can remember, BUT
none of that bothers me when I have my mind set in a positive
mode as I have now.
I didn't write about my goals or "resolutions" for this year and
I think that I will share them with you in my next post, but one
of the goals that I have is to keep my spirit and positive thinking
on at all times, no matter what.
It's all about your perspective, the way you approach things and
situations. You can look at everything in a bad, scared, negative
way or completely opposite and always try to see and find something
good about the situation that you're dealing with.

Something that made me happy at the end of, now already last
year, was to receive these two amazing t-shirts which were designed
by two amazing and SO inspiring sisters, Aimee and Dani Song.
While my sister was visiting me in December, we've decided to "play"
a little bit and pose both of us in these tees and very similar outfits.

Outfit post - Rule the world

HELLO 2015!!!
How amazing and refreshing does it feel to say this?!
I was anxiously waiting for this year and now I'm bound
to make it the best year of my life by now.
I would like to wish to all of you my dear readers a happy,
healthy and successful new year and may it bring you everything
that 2014 have failed to deliver.

So how was your New Year's Eve?
Mine kicked off in a good company and over a great concert,
followed by some nice time with friends and couple of drinks.
I woke up feeling good and refreshed yesterday and it was a
good thing to not have to fight a dreadful hungover, but instead
I've treated myself to a nice family lunch at my favourite restaurant
Kabuki, that has the best Japanese food in my city!

Today is the day for all of these new adventures, plans and exciting
things to start rolling that I've mentioned to you in my last two-three posts.
I will share some more "in-detail" goals/ plans that I have for this year
in one of my next posts.

Bye bye 2014!

Finally 2014 is at it's end and I must admit that I'm more
than happy to let this year go.
I have high hopes and plans for 2015 and will do everything
to make it an amazing and memorable year.
I feel that 2014 was a huge turning point kind of year for me,
while it def, had it's highs, the lows were so low that at some
point I have felt as if I was just banging my head against the wall
and being stuck in a circle without any clue how to move forward.
I did learn a lot from this past year and am going to value these lessons
for forever because they've helped me to see clearer and get to know
( and appreciate ) myself so much better.

I'd like to wish you all a great year ahead and that it will bring
you everything good and wonderful that 2014 didn't.
