Turning 27

Good evening once again my dear readers!
Today is my birthday and I'm back today with a new post
which I have initially thought will be quuuuuite long and I
didn't even knew where to start from writing it, but then, after
a whole couple of days of thinking about this post and turning 27
in general, it all has narrowed down to a few simple conclusions...

"Never give up, it's such a wonderful life..." being one of them!
My sister actually wrote this down for me in my birthday card
and it's a verse from band Hurts and their song "Wonderful life".

Also, "Believe in yourself, because if you can't, how can anybody
else?" is another one of these conclusions.

Third one would be one that I haven't heard anywhere particularly,
just simply have collected a few thoughts throughout these 27 years
of my life and that is that:

*give love and never expect anything in return
*be kind to everybody even when they're not kind to you
*many people are fighting their own battle that you know nothing
about, so don't judge, rather accept, help or move out of their way
*find your purpose in life, find that dream and passion that fuels
you and makes your blood run wild, that's why you've been sent
to this earth for
*do good whenever, wherever, good will come back to you
*healthy person has ton of wishes, sick one has only one...
so take care of your health, your mind and body, none of these
two can function properly without each other being equally healthy
*take as many trips or road trips as you can because travelling is the
only thing that you can buy with money that will make you richer
*things can't buy you happiness nor replace human need for love
and being "somebody's everything"
*act and think more like a child, approach things and situations with
an open mind and heart and find magic in every moment of your day
*be kind to yourself in every way as you're your own best friend and
your body and soul are all you have and will have to live in/ with
for the rest of your life
*smile more often, cry when you need to, scream when you feel like,
be silly no matter what's the place or occasion, life is way too short
to stick yourself into some boxes and meet the "standard" behaviour that
society has thought us is acceptable.

I could go on and on and on, but I have said in the beginning of this post
that it won't be long, even though it did ended up longish :D

Travel diary: Days 4 and 5

Good Saturday evening everyone!
It's been such a wonderful and warm day today in Croatia
that I really felt bad for not bringing some summertime
clothes with me. I have packed only the Fall appropriate clothes
and I've been boiling under the sun rays, but I ain't complaining
because back at home in Helsinki it's quite cold already for my
taste.

Yesterday was a lovely day which I got to spend from am to pm
with my family and close family friends.
In the morning I met with my sister and we've visited our grandma's
grave and that was a special moment for me as well as for her.
We haven't done that together in many years and we both loved
our grandma so much, that it felt as if she was there with us while
we were putting the flowers and candle on the grave stone.
My grandpa had birthday yesterday, so we had lunch at our family
friend's place and it was great to spend some time in the countryside,
breathe in the fresh air and just have a peaceful moment.
Lunch was delicious too! :D

Today, we went to Split and one of the main attractions that we were
after was place called "Froggyland"!! Oh wow! I can recommend you
to def. visit this place if you're ever in Split, it's such a brilliant idea
and... You just have to go and see it for yourself.
Visit to Split wouldn't be complete without going to the best bakery
in whole Dalmatia and it's called Bobis. Oh how I love their delicacies!

Now it's already late at night and tomorrow is my birthday so I gotta
get some beauty sleep, but I'll "meet" you tomorrow with a new post
and some thoughts of me becoming a 27 year old.

Travel diary: Days 2 and 3

Seems like posting at evening is working better for me,
at least while I'm in Croatia.
The weather here has been lovely, quite warm and for the
weekend it's expected to be very sunny too.
I can't believe that back home in Helsinki, there were already
first snowflakes "floating" around this morning!?

I've tried to capture all of the beauty of small, every day moments
but very special ones, that make me appreciate life and everything
that surrounds me.
Today I took a small road trip to Zadar to see my friend and her son
and it was so lovely to spend time with them in the city where I
used to study and where I have only great memories laying on almost
every corner of the city centre.

I hope that you will enjoy my mini photo diary as much as I did
when checking through these photos :)

Outfit post - Rainy day

Hello everybody!
Here's an outfit post which I wore last week in Helsinki.
We had couple of rainy and cloudy days, not to mention
chilly ones too, so I couldn't force myself to go outside
and shoot these outfit photos so I have decided to take them
indoors, at a shopping mall...Yeah, I know, very inspiring and
so not fashionable, but this "location" will do for this post ;)

I'm really much in a hurry and under stress while being here
in Croatia, but it feels really nice to be in my old home town
and just see people and places I've grown up with + know so
well... I could never live here again and I don't usually miss
this place, but when the melancholy hits, it's good to be in
the place that you're thinking about.

I'm going to another city, Zadar tomorrow as I'm going to meet
with my ex room mate and a study buddy from university times.
She's one of my dearest friends and I haven't seen her in a while,
so... Also, Zadar is one of those places that make me very
melancholic. I used to live there for a short time but many great
memories have stayed in that city and it's always a treat to come
back.

Travel diary: Day 1

Good evening my dear readers!
I'm writing you from Croatia and even though, not the
most luckiest occasions have brought me here, it feels
good to be in my old hometown, not to mention the lovely
and very warm weather. Good change from chilly Helsinki!

I took a flight very early this morning so I'm very tired
while writing this post, but I want to keep on publishing
daily as part of already mentioned my Blogtober so here's just
a quick post to "say hello" and show you couple of moments
that have made my day.

Outfit post - Fix you

Good morning everyone!!!
Here's to a great start of the week, we all need some good
luck, don't we!? :)

Speaking of luck... I haven't had much luck lately. Everything
that could fall apart, it pretty much did...
As some of you know, I was supposed to start with my photography
course at New York Film Academy at the end of this month, but that
won't happen... Not yet, as I had to change my plans and decide a lot
of things in a very short amount of time.
I still WILL BE attending the photography course at NYFA as school
was very cool about me needing to switch the course dates, so I'll
be attending the academy in the beginning of the next year.
Not everything is lost and it's this one little spark of light that makes me
happy and gives me something to look forward to.
Due to sickness in my family, I had to change my plans and I'm glad that
I did and that's also a reason why I'm flying out to Croatia tomorrow...

Yep, they say that sometimes, everything needs to fall apart in order for
something new to be born and I couldn't agree more with that statement.
I've been already through the deepest darks of feeling sorry for myself,
being hopeless and being endlessly depressed, but life is much more than
that and sometimes we just get challenged more than other people, but it's
all with a greater purpose.
I'm staying very positive, looking towards the light and believing that
there are miracles and happiness and all the good in this world... enough
for everybody :)

I hope that my blog is at least a little bit inspiring for you my dear readers...
Never give up on your dreams, work hard to get where you want to be, but
when you need to change the path a little bit, do it as it might be more
beneficial and rewarding that you could ever think of.
