Outfit post - COS

We've been having quite rainy and cloudy days lately.
I haven't been much outside, at least not as much as I would like to
and I'm missing some fresh air. Maybe I get to go for a long walk this
afternoon.
I was shopping a little bit at COS yesterday and I found two lovely
items there. This sweater and leather gloves which I'm wearing in today's
outfit post.
I love how soft the leather is and the color is just perfect. Sweater was love
at first sight and I will be wearing it a lot. It's very warm and trendy at the
same time :)

After almost a week of researching about London hotels and weighing
where to stay at, I have finally booked us a hotel in the heart of the city!
Yay! Can't wait for our family trip in November :)

There's so much to see and so many places that I would love to visit, so
I have a lot of planning and scheduling to do. One of Gordon Ramsay's
restaurants, 2 Indian restaurants and one Thai restaurant are on our must
eat list. Selfridges, Harrods and Marks & Spencer are on our must shopping list,
as well as Madame Tussauds, Sea Life, National History Musem and Buckingham
palace are on our must visit list. Talking about being overly excited :D

Outfit post - Lorelei

Hello everyone!
I hope that you're all doing well and having an easy going
Sunday. I had another photo shoot session yesterday and photos
turned out beautifully. It was a rare and beautiful moment to work with
my very close friends, one as make up artist and another one as model.
Pure joy! I have attached two photos from yesterday for you to see here
in this post, after my outfit photos :)

One other thing that made me very happy was that we bought our tickets
to London and we're going there in November!
Can't wait! I have been in London only once, but I haven't seen anything,
just a little bit from the taxi, as I was driving from the main train station
to the Heathrow airport.
I'm still dwelling on where to stay at in London, so if you have ANY suggestions,
please do write them in the comment section, I would appreciate that very much :)

Regarding my outfit, this dress is one of 3 pieces (and the only one I haven't shown
here yet) from Nicole Richie line for Macy's Impulse which I bought a month ago.
I love the print, fabric and the length is perfect! Can't wait to wear this beauty next
Summer, since now it's way too chilly to wear it without any cardigans/ jackets/ boots.

Outfit post - Skyfall

Have you heard new Adele song Skyfall? It's the main music
theme for the new James Bond movie and I like it a lot.
On to the outfit :) I bought this blouse about a month ago when
Nicole Richie for Macy's Impulse collection came online.
I love the geometrics print and the way how comfy, yet so stylish
is this blouse.
I wore this outfit today downtown when shopping for new pajama
and groceries. There're some crazy sale days going on at finnish
version of Nordstrom shopping mall called Stockmann and tomorrow
they'll have some great deals on London flights, so we'll buy our tickets
for London trip tomorrow and I'm very much looking forward to that.
Also, I have another photo shoot coming up this weekend and can't wait
to share the photos with you once they're ready :)

Fight against the breast cancer - personal story

After weeks of fashion overload by lots of reports on the
newest collections from 4 fashion weeks, Instagram diaries and
outfit posts, I want to make this post different than any other I've
written by now.
October is a very personal month for me because of couple of
reasons and they're: my own birthday, my grandpa's and little brother's
birthdays and this whole month is dedicated to the fight
against the breast cancer.
Unfortunately or luckily enough, breast cancer happened three times in
my family, all three times before my eyes.
My both grandmas had it, my mom had it and lots of other women I know
have suffered the breast cancer, but not all of them have survived.
Breast cancer seems to be increasing all the time and number of victims is
so high that it almost doesn't come as a surprise when you hear that someone
has been diagnosed with it...
It's a very nasty cancer and the fight is hard, but the ones that do get through it,
it changes them forever.
It's very, very important to do checks once a year to make sure that you're
fine, that there's no where that little sneaky lump which can be so harmful.

My both grandmas died of breast cancer, they've died in excruciating pain,
my mom is a breast cancer survivor and I've been through the whole period
with her, 6 years ago and it has made her my hero, to see her fight for life and
go through everything she had to go through with her head up high and
not giving up even for a second.
To see your mother loose her hair in chunks and then finally, have to shave
her hair off and watch her buy wig are those moments that made me be aware
of this disease more than ever.

Life is wonderful, it really is, it's up to you how you put things in perspective
and believe me, anything is possible, as well as it's possible to survive this
cancer, but rather prevent it by not stressing over everything, by eating well,
exercising, laughing, appreciating everything you have and living day by day,
not in past, not in future, but now, today because you can!

Also, remember to do anything you can to help all the women that are going
through this fight.

Outfit post - Trip the darkness

One of my favorite bands, Lacuna Coil is coming to
Helsinki tomorrow as part of their European tour and I can't
wait to see the show. Last time I saw them live was about 6 years
ago and that's a very long time ago :)

This morning started off perfectly! After leaving my little daughter
at the kindergarten I went downtown with my sister and we have
decided to grab some breakfast at Fazer cafe which always has delicious
pastries, salads and lots of sandwiches and cakes.

Later on we went for a nice walk and little shopping. I have decided that
I need more moments like these ones, I feel so relaxed afterwards the whole
day.

I'm about to go out now for a walk, some fresh air is always a good idea :)

White interior inspiration

I'm moving out next year from the apartment I'm living
in right now. I still don't know where exactly since the building
in which I want to buy an apartment isn't going to be built by the
end of next year, but I do know that I can't stay in the current apartment
which became way too small and stuffed with piles of clothes, things,
toys, etc.
Here's some inspiration for the future apartment which I'm planning
to design similar to these photos :)
